Plate corrugation (plate geometry)

The structured surface pattern pressed into heat transfer plates, typically a chevron or herringbone profile. The corrugation induces turbulence in the flow channel, increases the convective heat transfer coefficient, and provides mechanical rigidity to the plate pack.
