NTU (Number of Transfer Units)

NTU (Number of Transfer Units) is a dimensionless sizing metric: NTU = k * A / C_min, where C_min is the smaller of the two heat capacity rates (m_dot * cp). Higher NTU means more transferred duty relative to the minimum capacity rate.
